Enduring
The Hillbilly
“He stops at nothing.”
A high-mobility Killer, able to cover large distances in a short amount of time and instantly down Survivors using his Chainsaw. His personal perks, Enduring, Lightborn and Tinkerer, allow him to enhance his power and make him harder to lose during chases.
The machine gave him a new life, one where the power was in his hands. Press and hold the Power button to break into a Chainsaw Sprint. Survivors hit during a Chainsaw Sprint are put into the dying state. Hitting a dropped pallet or breakable wall will special-break it. Revving the chainsaw, and sprinting each cause the Overdrive meter to increase. The meter decreases when the chainsaw is not in use. When the meter is full, the chainsaw goes into Overdrive. SPECIAL STATE: OVERDRIVE While in Overdrive, the chainsaw is enhanced. Chainsaw Charge and Sprint speeds are increased, and Chainsaw Sprint cooldowns are reduced. Overdrive lasts for 20 seconds.

The son of wealthy landowners Max and Evelyn Thompson, this unnamed boy was an unwanted child born to savage parents. Hideously disfigured, he was shut away from society. So ashamed they were of their son, they bricked him into a room and fed him through a hole in the wall. When the boy escaped, he took his revenge savagely and terribly, slaughtering the parents who had tortured him instead of raising him. After the deed was done, he continued to live his life at the farm, taking out his deranged violence on the animals that were allowed to run free. As he finally broke free from his shackles, he ran through the cornfields, chasing and slaughtering whatever he could find. They never found the bodies of Max and Evelyn, but they did find tortured and disemboweled animals, all over the farm. Coldwind Farm was quickly settled and the land split up and sold off. There was never a buyer for the farmhouse. Perhaps because of that sound of a chainsaw you could hear throughout those hot summer nights.
The Hillbilly has the best raw map traversal in the game and a chainsaw that deletes a full health state. That combination means your true power is not the saw itself — it is the threat of it arriving anywhere, at any time. Cross the map in seconds, force a pick-up interrupt, then leave and be somewhere else before the team recovers.
In chase, treat the chainsaw as a positional weapon: sweep it through tight corridors and around unsafe pallets, and settle for basic attacks whenever a survivor plays a strong tile safely. Overcommitting to curve attempts around every loop is the classic way to lose four minutes to one survivor. The saw is also your snowball engine — an instant-down next to a hooked survivor collapses altruistic plays, which is what our "Insta-Saw Pressure" build is designed around. His honest weakness is indoor clutter that denies both sprint and saw; on those maps, patience and pre-dropped pallet discipline win more than raw speed.
