The Lich
Peu osent prononcer à haute voix le véritable nom de la Liche, par crainte qu'il l'entende... ou pire. Ses compétences personnelles, Lien avec la Trame, Contact languide et Arrogance ténébreuse lui permettent d'exploiter les objets épuisés, d'épuiser ceux qui dérangent les corbeaux et d'augmenter la vitesse de saut.
"Bound with the skin and flesh of men, the Book is packed with spells both forbidden and wicked." SPECIAL ABILITY: VILE DARKNESS Press and hold the Secondary Power button to open the Spell Selection. Move the cursor towards one of four available Spells in order to select it: • Fly: Grants the ability to fly across the environment for up to 4 seconds and allows The Lich to ignore dropped Pallets and Windows. • Flight of the Damned: Grants the ability to conjure 5 Flying Entities that can pass through obstacles and damage Survivors in their path. • Triggers Killer Instinct on Survivors downed by this Spell for 5 seconds. • Cannot hit crouched Survivors on level terrain. • Dispelling Sphere: Grants the ability to cast a moving invisible Sphere that reveals Survivors through Killer Instinct and disables their Magic Items for 60 seconds upon contact. • Causes the specific type of Magic Item to become visible to The Lich on the Survivor HUD while they are disabled by the Spell. • The Cool-down duration of Magic Items is indicated to all Players with a timer on the Survivor HUD. • Mage Hand: Grants the ability to create a Magical Hand that lifts dropped Pallets back upright in 0.5 seconds or blocks already upright ones for 4 seconds. Each Spell is on its own independent cool-down. SPECIAL TREASURE CHESTS: MAGIC ITEMS 6 Treasure Chests containing special Magic Items for Survivors to equip spawn in the environment. These include Boots or Gauntlets of: • All Magic Items reveal the Aura of The Lich for 1.5 seconds, when he casts their associated Spell. • The Skyguard: Reveals the Aura of The Lich during Fly. • This effect lingers for 0.25 seconds. • The Nightwatch: Reveals the Auras of the Flying Entities during Flight of the Damned. • The Archivist: Turns the Dispelling Sphere visible. • The Interloper: Reveals the Auras of Pallets affected by Mage Hand. • Grants a +7 % Haste Status Effect for 3 seconds. Beware of Mimics though, they may bite. Survivors can have both a Boot and a Gauntlet equipped at the same time. Unlucky Survivors may only find a regular Item inside a Treasure Chest that is either depleted or half-depleted. SPECIAL ITEMS: HAND & EYE OF VECNA Rarely, Treasure Chests contain either the Hand of Vecna or the Eye of Vecna. Healthy Survivors can use those Items to gain a special ability at the cost of a Health State and triggering Killer Instinct after use: • Hand of Vecna: Rushing into a Locker teleports the Survivor to a different Locker that is at least 10 metres away. • Triggers a Loud Noise Notification on the target Locker and Killer Instinct on them for 5 seconds. • Eye of Vecna: Rushing out of a Locker has the following effects for 12 seconds: • Suppresses their Aura, Scratch Marks, Blood Pools and Grunts of Pain. • Grants them complete invisibility. • Grants +25 % Haste. • Triggers Killer Instinct for 3 seconds after becoming visible again. SPECIAL INTERACTION: RECOVER ARTEFACT Survivors attuned to the Eye of Vecna or the Hand of Vecna with an accumulated 2 Hook Stages are vulnerable to The Lich recovering his Artefact from them. Press the Attack button while standing over the downed Survivor to execute them on the spot, performing a Mini-Mori. Dispelling Sphere: • Activation time: 0.75 seconds • The time between The Lich casting the Spell and the Dispelling Sphere launching. • Trajectory Previewer Distance offset: 1.75 metres • The distance the Trajectory Previewer of the Dispelling Sphere is placed in front of The Lich. • Trajectory Previewer length: 10 metres • Trajectory Previewer width: 0.4 metres • Trajectory Previewer height offset: 1 metre • Movement speed: 11 m/s • This is the maximum speed the Dispelling Sphere could move at with Add-ons (currently not obtainable). • Lifetime: 25 seconds • The Sphere despawns over 2 seconds after travelling for that duration. • Initial radius: 0.07 metres • This is used for the mini-sphere while The Lich is charging the Spell. • Eventual radius: 6 metres • Killer Instinct duration: 3 seconds • Disabled State duration for Magic Items: 60 seconds • This is indicated as a timer on the affected Survivors' HUD Portraits. L'Indicible. Le Seigneur de la Tour Putride. Le Maître des Secrets. Peu osaient prononcer son véritable nom, terrifiés qu'il puisse entendre, ou pire. Même lorsqu’il n'était qu'un jeune sorcier, Vecna n'avait pas d'égal dans l'art de la magie. Alors que d’autres passaient des lustres à se consacrer à une école de magie pour la perfectionner, il maîtrisa sans peine chacune d’elles. Après l’exécution de sa mère pour sorcellerie, son objectif vira à l’obsession et il étudia l'école de la magie la plus ténébreuse : la nécromancie, la magie de la vie et de la mort. Alors que son pouvoir augmentait, son ambition crût aussi. Au fil des siècles, il se débarrassa de sa dépouille mortelle et accéda à l’état de liche. Son pouvoir fonda un vaste empire, sur lequel il régnait depuis sa Tour Putride. Sa soif de savoir ténébreux dans le but de remplir son livre, Les Chapitres interdits, le conduisit dans de nombreux plans et royaumes. Mais ce fut dans l’un de ses propres royaumes que l’un de ses serviteurs trouva quelque chose, un sortilège, peut-être déchiré dans un tome ancien, écrit dans une langue qu’il n’avait jamais vue. Il pouvait sentir une énergie incroyablement ténébreuse s’en dégager. N’ayant aucun document dans cette langue, il lui fallut passer des mois à s’efforcer d’analyser sa syntaxe, sa phonétique, sa forme. Il documenta chaque tracé de chaque lettre, les examinant et échafaudant des théories sur leurs significations, dans un livre énorme dissimulé dans ses appartements. Lorsque ses lieutenants vinrent lui rapporter des problèmes dans leurs domaines, Vecna leur dit de s’en occuper eux-mêmes. Il devait se charger d’affaires autrement plus importantes. Il passa des nuits sans nombre à mémoriser l’étrange écriture, tentant d’en extirper le moindre sens. Il ne délaissait que très rarement son donjon afin d’enquêter sur les rumeurs de gens qui avaient disparu sans laisser de traces dans la nuit. Devant ces scènes, il pouvait sentir la même magie étrangère qui émanait de la page déchirée. Il était convaincu que ce qui tuait ces gens avait aussi écrit ces étranges caractères. Il était déconcerté, ce qui le rendit furieux. Les scènes, très rares et éloignées dans le temps, ne présentaient aucun modèle, aucun motif commun. Aucun signe de lutte, aucun cadavre, et seul persistait un léger bourdonnement d’énergie ténébreuse. Quel objectif avait bien pu nécessiter ces corps ? Lors d’une nuit sombre, il fit une découverte capitale : un mot qu’il avait interprété comme signifiant « mourant » fonctionnait mieux avec le sens de « disparaissant ». Peut-être que ces gens n’avaient pas été tués du tout : peut-être avaient-ils été emportés vivants. Il appliqua cette substitution à ses notes et tout se mit en place. Il copia ce qu’il avait appris sur un morceau de parchemin vierge, écrit phonétiquement. Il se mit à prononcer les mots à voix haute et la pièce s’assombrit. Elle se remplit d’un brouillard rampant. Il se sentit lui-même se déplacer, se rendre ailleurs. Vecna résista, lançant des sorts mémorisés, tenant le brouillard en respect. Mais alors qu’il contemplait les ténèbres, il sentit une énergie attirante en émaner, un désespoir, un mal qu’il pouvait à peine concevoir. Une curiosité malsaine le submergea, il cessa de se concentrer et laissa le brouillard l’emporter. Quoi que ce fut, le seul moyen de s’en rendre maître était de s’y soumettre. Il savait, dans son cœur froid et inerte, qu’il serait bientôt maître des secrets ténébreux de cette chose.
Vecna transporte quatre sorts sur des cooldowns séparés, et le plafond de skill consiste à savoir lequel gagne la seconde en cours. Mage Hand lève ou bloque la palette en plein loop, Flight of the Damned envoie des projectiles spectraux à travers les murs, Dispelling Sphere révèle et désactive les objets magiques, et Fly transforme les temps morts entre chases en repositionnement. Aucun autre killer ne répond à autant de situations — si tu acceptes d'apprendre la boîte à outils.
Traite Mage Hand comme ton sort de chase central : le lancer au moment où le survivant tend la main vers la palette refuse le stun et souvent l'état de santé. Flight of the Damned se lance là où les survivants se croient en sécurité — par-dessus les murets, à travers les obstacles en plein vault. Surveille les objets magiques lootés : bottes et yeux donnent un vrai counterplay, exactement ce que Dispelling Sphere existe pour effacer. Il n'a aucun slowdown intrinsèque : associe le kit de sorts à de la pression de générateurs comme le fait notre build « Arcane Tempo ». Sur map ouverte, Fly agressivement.
